Education Minister Message

My Dear People of Haryana,

I am honored to stand before you today to discuss a transformative initiative that holds immense promise for the educational landscape of our state – the PM SHRI Schools program.

As you know, the PM SHRI Schools (PM Schools for Rising India) initiative aims to revitalize and strengthen existing schools across the country, transforming them into model institutions that embody the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Here in Haryana, we are proud to be at the forefront of this national endeavor.

Why are PM SHRI Schools important?

These schools are not merely about infrastructural upgrades. They represent a paradigm shift in how we approach education. They prioritize:

  • Holistic learning: PM SHRI Schools go beyond rote memorization, fostering a love for learning through interactive, experiential methods that cater to diverse learning styles and talents.
  • Skill development: The curriculum equips students with essential 21st-century skills, preparing them for the dynamic job market and empowering them to become active contributors to society.
  • Focus on mother tongue: Recognizing the importance of strong foundational literacy and numeracy, these schools emphasize learning in the child’s mother tongue, fostering deeper understanding and confidence.
  • Technology integration: PM SHRI Schools leverage technology effectively to enhance learning experiences, provide access to quality resources, and personalize education for each student.

Haryana’s commitment to PM SHRI Schools:

Our government is fully committed to the success of PM SHRI Schools. We have already launched 124 such schools across the state, and we are actively working to expand this network further. We are investing in:

  • Upgrading infrastructure: Providing modern classrooms, smart boards, well-equipped libraries, and science labs to create conducive learning environments.
  • Enhancing teacher training: Equipping our educators with the necessary skills and knowledge to implement the NEP effectively and deliver engaging, child-centered learning experiences.
  • Community engagement: Fostering active participation from parents, local communities, and stakeholders to ensure the holistic development of our children.

The future of education in Haryana:

PM SHRI Schools are not just schools; they are beacons of hope and opportunity. They represent our commitment to providing equitable and quality education to every child in Haryana, regardless of their background or circumstances.

By nurturing young minds with critical thinking skills, creativity, and a strong sense of values, these schools will empower them to become responsible citizens and future leaders who can contribute to a brighter tomorrow for our state and nation.

I urge everyone here, from teachers and parents to students and community members, to embrace and support the PM SHRI Schools initiative. Together, let us work hand-in-hand to realize the full potential of this transformative program and create a future where every child in Haryana has the opportunity to thrive.
